To make this possible for everyone, we do have a few policies and guidelines in place. 
Please take a moment to read through 'your cabin stay guide' section carefully before booking so you know what to expect during your stay. And as well through the agreement, while finalizing the booking. 
They are to protect the peaceful atmosphere of the property and ensure a great experience for all of our guests.
If after reading them, you may feel this may not be the right fit for you, we completely understand. We hope perhaps in the future you will consider our cabin again.

We want you to have a wonderful stay , and that starts with being clear about what to expect. 
The Lookout Inn cabin is an open layout with 1 queen bed on the main floor and one more queen mattress on the floor up in the loft. The loft is accessible by a ladder, but we don't recommended this to be used by people who have mobility issues.
This cabin and property is meant to unplug and unwind. There is no tv or wifi in the cabin. You can bring your own devices and download shows on prior to coming. There is no a/c. Fans are provided, a large ceiling fan and windows have screens in them that can be opened.
Comforters and pillows are provided. Please bring your own linens and towels.
For a small fee we can provide the linens, make the beds and have towels ready for you. Please mention it in your booking if you like to use this service.

Please note that while we do our absolute best to keep the cabin clean and comfortable, it’s nestled right in nature — which means you might occasionally see little visitors like ants. We also do regular deep cleans, but with windows open to enjoy the fresh air and lake breeze, a bit of dust can settle in quickly. It’s all part of the charm of being this close to the outdoors!

We provide sugar, teabags and coffee k-cups for the first day or two of your stay.

Guest access
The whole cabin , deck, fire place and 2 parking spots are yours. Beyond that, the cabin is located in a seasonal retreat. During your stay, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to the whole cabin, your own private fire pit, a picnic table for outdoor dining and a beautiful deck right of the cabin that looks over the lake - perfect for embracing the outdoors in comfort and style.
Walking distance from the cabin, there is a boat launch that you can use free of charge to launch a boat, kayaks or canoes.
At this point we do not have any kayaks, canoes or boats for rent. You will have to bring your own, if you like to venture out on the lake.

Arran Lake is a wonderful lake for fishing. But not from the shore, as there is plenty of weeds.
It is a shallow lake, with some 'swimming holes'.
People usually take a boat out and go for a swim, further from shore where it is not as weedy.

There is firewood provided. See the picture for approximately, how full the stand with wood is upon arrival.

Other things to note
We have a strict ‘no-pet’ policy for the Lookout Inn cabin.
There is no microwave
There is no wifi or tv

- You will check yourself in with a code that you will receive the morning of your check-in date.
- There is no Air Conditioning and in the summer the cabin can get quite warm. We do have ceiling fans and movable fans for your comfort , as well that all windows are screened and can be opened up, without having bugs come in.
- The stove cook top can be locked. Hold the key button for 3 seconds to lock or unlock.
- The black tower fans have remotes in the back, on top.
- There is a white remote by the door, on the inside, to change the speed of the ceiling fan, have the light on or off , etc
